My takeaway from the EUKI Peatlands Finance Networking Event in Sofia, Bulgaria 17-18 April 2024 event in Sofia is:
Communication is the key to success.
And I believe that communication is listening.
Listening, not with the intent to reply.
Listening, truly listening to what the other has to say.
Listening, intending to summarise or repeat what the other has said.
Because by doing so, you start to understand the other person.
We had a music workshop in Sofia, and it supports my aforementioned theory.
One person can produce a sound, but that is not music.
A second person can also produce a sound still that is not music.
It does not become music unless these two people start to listen to one another and cooperate by imitating each other.
Only then do these two people create music, create a rhythm.
A rhythm means fluidity, enjoyment, connection and even a purpose.
A rhythm is the basis for success.
A rhythm leads to experiments, which might lead to the next hit song.
And it all starts with listening.
So, I am listening.
