From 26 August to 1 September, LIFE ELCN partner Montis will organise the 2019 International Work Camp that will take place at Vieiro and Costa Bocalo, Portugal – both properties that are under the management of Montis. The tasks of this camp will focus on the needs of the properties, which require quite some activities regarding the natural regeneration of oaks, strawberry trees, pines and other maintenance activities, such as access and control of alien species (Acacia dealbata and Hakea sericea).

Vieiro and Costa Bacelo are located near Arouca, with Vieiro situated near the Deilão river, and Costa Bacelo on the bank of the Paiva and Paivô rivers. These locations provide pleasant nature conditions to perform the programmed tasks, as well as ideal circumstances for planned entertainment programmes.

Participation includes: accommodation (house in the village of Deilão and wild camping), food for the week (including a barbecue), personal accident insurance, working tools, protection gear and entertainment programmes. The fee for participating is €50,- for members and €75,- for non-members. To register and for more information, please send an e-mail to montisacn@gmail.com.
