Living Earth Futures international workshop
28 September @ 9:00 - 12:00
Eurosite would like to invite you to the Living Earth Futures international 3-hour workshop on Wednesday 28th September. The workshop will be hosted by Aberystwyth University in Wales, UK.
Living Earth is a framework that provides generic capacity for characterising, mapping and monitoring landscapes across multiple spatial scales and temporal frequencies from Earth observation data, with notable demonstrations at national levels for Wales (UK) and Australia. Living Earth has significant potential to plan and realise future landscapes from local to global levels (supporting, for example, restoration of ecosystems and sustainable management of resources) such that both people and nature can benefit in the short to long term.
The workshop is designed to advance this concept and capability (termed Living Earth Futures). We would like to invite you to contribute your thoughts and ideas, discuss future collaboration opportunities and potential grant funding, and contribute to the design and content of a dedicated interactive website for Living Earth Futures.
The workshop will be repeated during the day to accommodate different time zones around the globe:
06:00-09:00 am (Asia and Oceania)
09:00-12:00 am (Europe and Africa)
15:00-18:00 pm (Americas)
You only need to join one of these slots, but you are welcome to join more than one if you would like to interact with people from other regions.
