Join us from the 22 to 24 October to share in our collective experience and enjoy the cultural setting of Durham during our Eurosite Annual Meeting 2024. This year, we are welcomed in beautiful Northern England by our members of North Pennines National Landscape.

We will look at how both EU and UK have moved separately with their nature conservation philosophies post-Brexit, and take this moment to recognise where we stand to learn from each other. Our first two days will include keynote speeches and four rounds of workshops along 4 thematic lines – Policy, Finance, Management, and Partnerships. On our last day, you will have the opportunity to join one of three field study tours where the natural beauty of England’s landscapes as well as the experience from those managing and living with it will be centre-piece.

Practical information :

The event starts on Tuesday, 22 October, 9:00 BST and ends on Thursday, 24 October, 17:00 BST. Lunch and networking dinners are included on the first two days of the conference, as well as a lunchbox on the last day for those joining the field study tours. Please indicate during registration which field study tour you will join. Beware that places are limited! Before the event, you will be asked to download the event app onto your devices. Please note that workshop allocation and information on the study tours as well as any changes to the programme will be communicated exclusively through the app in due time.

Registration closes on the 1st of October. The registration fee of EUR 275 covers participation in the plenary and workshops, field excursions, as well as lunches, dinners, and drinks during the event. Eurosite members and partners are entitled to a EUR 50 registration fee discount by using a promotion code during registration, available upon request at info@eurosite.org.  Note: Eventbrite charges a 5% handling fee. Refunding of the member discount after registration is not possible. Participants are asked to book and cover their own travel and accommodation.

When booking accommodation:

Bedrooms can be booked at the Radisson Blu Durham via their website. We have negotiated a reduced rate (which includes breakfast):

• Single occupancy – £139 per night
• Double/twin occupancy – £149 per night

The rooms are available from the 21^st to the 24^th October inclusive. The cutoff date for booking at this rate has been EXTENDED to 16^thSeptember; after that you will need to pay the standard rate at the time of booking.

All you need to do is visit the Radisson Blu website and under the ‘special rates’ box enter the promotional code EURO1024. You will need to provide credit card details to reserve your room.
