Terra Cypria – the Cyprus Conservation Foundation
Terra Cypria-The Cyprus Conservation Foundation operates The Cyprus Environmental Studies Centre and cooperates with The Laona Foundation for the Conservation and Regeneration of the Cypriot Countryside. Terra Cypria was established in 1992 and promotes environmental and conservation education and awareness on the island. "We are involved with today’s decision-makers and with the young people who will be tomorrow’s leaders and policy-makers." The Foundation has set up the Cyprus Environmental Studies Centre (CESC), based in the village of Kritou Terra, close to the Akamas Peninsula which offers field courses to schools and universities, from Cyprus and abroad, throughout the academic year. Terra Cypria regularly follows the discussions of the Parliamentary Committee for the Environment and submits relevant papers.
