CAMPAIGNING

Connecting Competence in Conservation is at the heart of everything we do at Eurosite. Conservation, however, is not only the job of professional conservationists but an endeavour the European community has to manage in solidarity.

CAMPAIGNING

It is in the best interest of conservationists that the public, the political domain, and commercial businesses know the issues we are facing that we, the conservationist, have to solve with our work. That’s why we at Eurosite believe firmly doing the work on the ground is one thing. But talking about what we do and what has to be done is a whole other matter, essential to guarantee the success of our work.
Thus campaigning for the fight against the loss of biodiversity, focusing on nature as a necessary measure against climate warming, and the situation in our sector, in general, is what we campaign for.
But it was not Eurosite if we wouldn’t be doing this in cooperation with our members, partners and friends.
Jointly with GPI/UNEP, we campaigned 2021 on #PeatlandsMatter in preparation for COP 26 and reached over 2 million people. In December, we released a Christmas-inspired version of the #PeatlandsMatter campaign, which is followed now by a 2022 edition.
