Continue reading for some guidance on completing the event submission form...
The basics:
- Please complete all parts of the form marked with an * - the form will not be sent to Eurosite if any of these parts are left blank.
- Providing a detailed and thorough description of your event will reduce the volume of questions you receive from potential attendees, and will help in the overall promotion of your event to the correct target audience.
- Once your form has been submitted, it will be reviewed by the Eurosite team. On occasion Eurosite will make small changes to the content of event entries to improve the presentation of the event.
- Please only submit events that are of relevance to the activities and interests of professionals working in European nature conservation and natural site management. Eurosite will delete entries that are deemed unsuitable or inappropriate.
Guidelines for completing important parts of the event form:
Title: Choose the title carefully - the title should clearly indicate the theme of your event, and attract the attention of your target group.
Event theme: An opportunity for you to place your event within the wider activities of the Eurosite network, and to indicate if you wish to attract a national or international level audience.
Date: For a one (1) day event, only complete the 'start date'. If your event takes place over two (2) or more days, please also include the 'end date'. This is important information for potential event participants - it will help them plan their visit.
Target audience: This is an opportunity to confirm the target group for your event. Simply describe the professional capacities of the individuals whom you would like the attend and contribute to your event. For example, a workshop on the theme of 'the integration of Natura 2000 and the Water Framework Directive', would perhaps include the following information under 'Audience:' - 'Site managers and site management staff responsible for the management and management planning of Natura 2000 sites that are subject to the requirements of the Water Framework Directive'.
Languages: Here you can indicate the language/s that will be used in the delivery of the workshop. If your event will offer interpretation / translation, please use the 'Event details' part of the form to indicate this.
Links: Use this part of the form to provide www links to your organisations website, webpages that promote the event you are registering, or any other online content of relevance to your event.
Event details: Here you are encouraged to provide a detailed description of your event, including the aims of the event and the event programme. Make sure you include the most important and interesting information in this section.
Event Location: Ensure your potential guests know where they need to go!
Contact person: Make sure that questions about your event are directed to the correct person.
File attachments: Use this facility to upload any supporting information for the event. For example, the event programme, maps of the location, and an event registration form. You can upload a variety of file types, but it is recommended that you use .pdf .doc or .xls files to maximise accessibility.
