Campaign "Horizontes Natura 2000"

SEO/BirdLife launches this new proposal for the promotion of Natura 2000 into four Spanish regions, funded by the Financial Mechanism of the EEA (European Economic Area).

The most important EU directives in the field of nature (known as Birds Directive and the Habitats Directive) set out the need to ensure biodiversity in the European territory of the states of the Union. From them emanates an obligation, the challenge that has become most ambitious and important to preserve our environment, which is to create and maintain a network of sites called Natura 2000, where the necessary measures must be established to ensure the conservation of habitats and species.
