Scientists for a better implementation of Natura 2000
The Policy Committee of the Society for Conservation Biology - Europe Section (SCB-ES) has launched an online survey in order to use the scientific expertise towards a better implementation of Natura 2000 across the EU (http://www.cbcd.eu/natura).
The Natura 2000 network of protected areas (hereafter N2000) is an EU cornerstone in the attempt to halt continued biodiversity loss. As the network-designation process reaches its conclusion in terrestrial ecosystems, the challenge now lies in achieving appropriate management.
In our biodiversity crisis era, we do not have the luxury to fail in our conservation targets.
Your scientific experience is needed more than ever.
We invite all scientists and policy makers with some experience in Natura 2000 to fill out the survey. The survey is anonymous and takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. The results will be communicated to your e-mail address if you wish (optional), besides policy-makers and the scientific community.Your personal data are strictly confidential.
Please visit the http://www.cbcd.eu/natura website and help the conservation community with your contribution!
For any inquiry, please contact V. Kati info@cbcd.eu.
Thank you for your collaboration!
