Natura Green Days
2002 - 2003
Raising public and stakeholder awareness of Natura 2000 through the coordination and promotion of events on Natura 2000 sites throughout Europe. First launched in 2002, Natura 2000 Green Days were so successful that they were implemented as a complimentary measure as part of the later Natura Network Initiative (2004-2006) and the Natura 2000 Networking Programme (2007).
More than 980 nature events were recorded as part of the Green Days programme between 2002 and 2004.
Natura Green Days was financed by the European Commission.
