Biodiversity 2020: the priorities
'Biodiversity 2020: the priorities' is a unique conference taking place at the European Parliament in Strasbourg on the afternoon of Wednesday 28 September. MEPs will join with European hunters and landowners through FACE and ELO and their key partners as well as national representatives from these groups, to create a meaningful discussion on the EU Biodiversity Strategy 2020 and together find the concrete actions that we can take in order to achieve the 2020 headline target.
Under the patronage of MEPs Véronique Mathieu and Giancarlo Scottà, high-level speakers from BirdLife International, WWF, ELO, and FACE will highlight their priorities within the Strategy and join the European Commission’s Director General for the Environment, Karl Falkenberg and the MEPs in opening the discussion. The participants will represent the EU, national and local views from across Europe and are willing to share their expertise and ideas – as it is recognised that we will only reach the 2020 targets by acting together.
