FP7 Environment INFODAY (including climate change)

FP7-ENV-2010-INFODAY will be held on the 17th of September 2009, Brussels. The information day is aimed at researchers, research institutions, companies, Industry, SMEs, Civil Society Organisations, National Contact Points – anyone interested in taking part in the FP7-ENV-2010 call.

The aim of the Call FP7-ENV-2010 is to continue supporting the main environmental policy and drivers in the area of climate and environmental change, their consequences and the link to other sectors such as energy, transport, agriculture etc. Furthermore, the goal is to address concretely some new policy drivers such as the development of a post-2012 climate agreement and the Adaptation White Paper.

FP7 is the short name for the Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development - the EU's main instrument for funding research in Europe. FP7 will run from 2007-2013 with a budget that stands at 175 million Euro.

Special sessions timetabled for the information day, include:

  • Climate Change;
  • Natural Hazards;
  • Environment and Health;
  • Cultural Heritage;
  • Natural Resources; and
  • Marine Environment.
