Unsere aufgabe
Unsere Aufgabe ist es, Fachkenntnisse und Erfahrungen über das Management von Naturgebieten („sites for nature“) in ganz Europa auszutauschen, zu vertiefen und zu fördern. Eurosite ist einzigartig – wir sind eines der größten gesamteuropäischen Netzwerke, das staatliche und nichtstaatliche Organisationen sowie private Körperschaften zusammenführt, um aktiv beim praktischen Management der Natur Europas zusammenzuarbeiten. Derzeit engagieren sich mehr als 72 mitglieder des Eurosite-netzwerks aus 23 verschiedenen europäischen Ländern, um diese Aufgabe zu erfüllen.

Metsähallitus provides and maintains free facilities that make it easy for visitors to Finland’s national parks and other beautiful natural areas to get out into the wilds. These facilities include attractive visitor centres, websites with useful practical information, and trails totalling 6,738 km – almost six times the length of Finland.

- vor 6 Wochen 13 StundenAn international Eurosite workshop on Adaptive Site Management was held in Doorn, in the Utrechtse Heuvelrug National Park, in the heart of the Netherlands, from 13 to 15 December 2011. Co-hosted by Eurosite members Staatsbosbeheer, Natuurmonumenten, De12Landschappen and the Conservation Management System Consortium (United Kingdom), 36 nature conservation professionals, project leaders and specialist IT staff from 12 countries across Europe participated.

- World Migratory Bird Day was initiated in 2006 and is an annual awareness-raising campaign highlighting the need for the protection of migratory birds and their habitats. - Volcandpark is the first international congress to be devoted to the management, the raising of awareness, and geotourism in protected volcanic areas. It aims to provide a unique opportunity to bring together people from many different fields (scientists, administrators, politicians, tour operators, etc), any of whom may become involved in some way in territorial planning, management and promotion of protected volcanic areas (national and natural parks, natural reserves, etc.).Event:21/05/2012 - 25/05/2012

This classic Eurosite workshop will demonstrate the value of learning from sharing and comparing ‘on the ground’ site management experiences. It will focus on the management approaches being developed and applied across Krkonose’s 29 diverse habitat types. At the same time, site managers from the Eurosite network will be identified and invited to input and share their practical experience of restoration approaches in diverse habitats.

The MMV conference provides a forum for presentations and other exchanges of ideas and experiences related to the monitoring and management of visitors in recreation and protected areas. The emphasis is on policies, problems, practices and innovative solutions, and will therefore be of equal relevance to managers and researchers.
